Freelance illustrator specialising in children’s books.

Annaliese Stoney graduated from University College Falmouth’s illustration BA(Hons) course in 2011 and has been working as a freelance illustrator from her studio in Salisbury (Wiltshire) ever since.

Her work shows a particular love of characters and visual humour. This is suited to a wide variety of formats from advertising and editorial to greetings cards, though she has a particular fondness for children’s books because of their capacity for playfulness and the challenge of layering humour to both children and adults alike.

Annaliese’s first authored and illustrated picture book was published in 2014 by Bonney Press (an imprint of Hinkler).

Annaliese enjoys working in a variety of media but a lot of her work explores a combination of ink and digital, though she has a soft spot for pure ink because of its capacity for expressiveness.

If you’ve any more questions feel free to get in touch. Annaliese promises not to respond in the third person then.
